Justice Prof. Dr. Susanne Baer, LL.M. (Michigan), Professor of Public Law and Gender Studies at the Law Faculty a Humboldt University of Berlin, William W. Cook Global Law Professor at the University of Michigan Law School, and visiting faculty at CEU Budapest, has also taught in Bielefeld, Erfurt, Linz, Fiesole, Toronto. Research areas are socio-cultural legal studies, gender studies, law against discrimination, comparative constitutional law, constitutionalism and governance. In February 2011, she was sworn in as justice of the First Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht).
